This capture was taken on October 16th, 2015 when the Monarchs are on their migration to Mexico for the winter. I did not see many in March 2017 but am anticipating their return in mid Oct this year. They are threatened by our use of pesticides that has killed much of the Snakeweed on of the plants they depend on. God bless and send us our Monarchs back we pray for them.

Love this image, Emile! Don't see too many Monarchs in our area, altho all the gardeners plant butterfly friendly gardens! Let's keep hoping their numbers will increase! #11647476frank w. degenhardt October 07, 2017
They are such a beautiful butterfly and to witness the migration would be a blessing for sure. It is sad that so many are being killed off by out chemical dependency. You show the beauty in numbers and each ones gorgeous shapes and colors are so beautifully captured. So pretty Emile. #11647557Emile Abbott October 07, 2017
