Description

I have added two new photographs to my portfolio for this assignment. I was only able to get out once but when the rain hit I tried to make the most of it. Both images are on the north side of Mt Tamalpais. They were made in quite a storm, lots of rain and wind. Keeping the camera dry was difficult with a plastic bag, umbrella and a towel. The most difficult aspect was trying to focus the camera. I am finding the digital camera to be very dark when you look through it so when shooting in low light it can be extremely hard to focus with any confidence. If you have any tips on this I would love to hear them.

About the photos them selves I have some questions. I like the light and mood of the storm but am not sure how it plays out in the photograph. It clearly affects the depth of field and the wind is driving some of the foliage to blur in the fore ground. I am wondering if this would be an undesirable trait in a fine art print. I have been looking at photographer’s web sights for exam
