Description

Florida is winter quarters for a troupe of beautiful, performing Lipizzanner stallions. Here, their newest member, Jagger (trailing the blue rope), a mere 14 month old, is spooked by perhaps the audience of the practice session, perhaps something else, and breaks his trainer's hold on the rope. Toddler that he is, he's big and powerful, and the director, Gabriella Herrmann, holds out her arms to distract him so he doesn't hit the fence or go over it into the audience. The larger stallion is there to help teach Jagger appropriate arena manners. Interesting fact: Lipizzaners are born brown or black. Only over the next few years do they turn white.

While this isn't street photography in the sense of actually being on a "street," often urban, it is in the sense of things, people, animals around one doing spontaneous things, so . .

Whether it's "street" or not, you have captured a great moment in a badge-worthy way. #1683458
