Kate ~ the structure is some sort of old refuge for the birds.. it is set on a small 'island' in the lake ~ looks like it needs a lot of repair work but I'd imagine the birds use a lot of the hanging grasses, etc., when it comes down to nest building.. I like it in this state as I can see through it ~ LOL!
