Beautiful Weed Flower

Description

This little flower is about the size of my fingernail (which are small). I held this tiny weed up, using the sky for the background. I have been experimenting with a 17-40 mm lens and a 13 mm extension tube.

Thank you, Chuck and Nancy. You are so right, Chuck, His handiwork is all around us to be seen. That is one of the reasons I love photography, especially macro, because there we can see detail of things we would ordinarily miss. <>< #11561225

Wonderful composition, Shirley! Looks like a violet. I love it when they crop up in the lawn in the spring. #11561374

Thank you, Martha. I just thought it was a weed, as it grows wild. Very tiny. The blossom is about 3/8 of an inch across. <>< #11561375
