Believe it or not, the subject was an eucalyptus tree, its coloured bark grabbed my attention since it looked perfect for an impressionistic image. White balance was tweaked a little bit into the blue-purple direction, but not really too much. Does it create a tranquil feeling?

Thank you, John! That's how I wanted it to feel, happy to hear that it works this way! There was actually very little of postprocessing work (I am not good at that anyway!), I made it a little bit lighter, added a little bit of contrast and tweaked wb a little bit to the blue/purple side, oh, and changed orientation to landscape :) I wanted it to look like a mini dreamscape. so far no one was able to figure out what it was originally, but does it really matter?? :) #11556998John Koepfer @PresentPleasures February 28, 2017
