Description

The town where Tuggerah Lakes run into the ocean is called The Entrance! The lakes cover an area of 80.8 sq Km and are about 56 miles north of Sydney. They have a catchment area of 276 square miles, and I live near the northern extremity of them at Lake Munmorah. The average depth of the water is only 2.4 metres.
This is a vertical 4 stitch panorama, taken yesterday afternoon on a beautiful, if windy spring day.

What an unusual sight this is. A little palm island close to a big city. Or is it a holiday resort? It looks like paradise anyway. And the water looks so clean and clear - I would love to swim there. #11535390
