Thank you so much. This was my selection for this year's High & Dry: A Photographic Exhibition of Peoples and Places of the World’s Dry Lands. It's the 10th year I've entered this show. The first time I did so I was still in grad school and was excited because the High & Dry is a pretty big deal. My entry that was selected that first year was a macro shot of the side of a tiny anthill, and I shared it to the BetterPhoto discussion board. I still remember, probably will never forget, how vicious people attacked me and little anthill. They demolished me, they posted ugly comments under the photo and sent me nasty private messages. They talked about my dog who had died less than a year before. It was unbelievable, but they enjoyed themselves. I put my camera away for about a year until I received an e-mail from the curator of exhibit saying how much she enjoyed my Spun Sugar and hoped that I entered again. So your kind comments mean more to me that I can ever explain. Thank you. #11529344

What an awful experience. I hope you never put your camera away again because you have a beautiful, unique talent and extraordinary eye. I looked at your website, think it's fantastic. I'm looking forward to seeing your next posts! #11529359

Oh no, never again. I believe it was a bunch of 40-year-olds who had never outgrown being the high school bullies, so I consider the source. Although I am still mad about the comments made about my dog. :) Thanks, I do really appreciate your kind words. #11529450
