Description

There are 6,793 species of crab-and they are not all one color. They generally are the color of the beach or environment they come from: the most common colors are white, yellow, tan, and brown, sometimes with mottled markings to help them camouflage. There are exceptions-some are very fancy with blues, reds, purples, and bright yellows. Normally when a prey species gives up their ability to hide by sporting bright colors-they are doing it to attract a mate. This picture was taken in Puri sea beach,Orissa India.
