Survivor

Description

This little guy had a tough start. His Mom could not carry to term so 5 baby cheetahs were born premature. The Mother cheetah died and two of the little ones died within 2 weeks. The rest had digestive problems and this baby (5 mos old) has a jacket on so they could feed him with a feeding tube. They are all doing better and have a surrogate Mom in an Australian Shepherd. The dog provided them with a warm body to crawl on like they would their Mother. All three are doing well at the Cincinnati Zoo.

What a touching story...and what an ordeal this little tyke and his remaining siblings have endured. Hope all of them overcome their health issues. Kudos to the Cincinnati Zoo and to you for this wonderful portrait of (indeed) a Survivor, Kathy!
