I hope I understood Jim Miotke's new challenge in his e-mail from yesterday. Starting yesterday/June 1st, through August 31st, we are to UPLOAD only new photos or DDR work. I haven't uploaded this photo before, and it was taken last month. Anyone understand the e-mail differently?

Jo Ann, I read it to mean either new photos OR DDR images should not be resubmitted, unless significant changes have been made. New DDR's like your beautiful Finalist are perfectly fine! #11481659

Absolutely gorgeous macro of this orchid Mary! I understand Jim's email to mean only images created during the current month i.e. newly taken. The exception is DDR when older images get a brand new look. #11481671

Beautiful vibrant floral Mary! Great capture as always. The way I understood Jim's email (based on the P.S. part) is that pictures submitted for the next three months should be taken and uploaded during the current month. Thus for the month of June only pictures taken and uploaded during the month of June will be considered for eligibility for the contest (presumably). Thus since all my photos were taken the previous months, I've got nothing to post so far. Of course I can post but it wont be considered for the contest. My two cents. #11481707

Nadia and Rey, thanks for your comments and for the input re: the Summer Challenge. I'm going to try to create a new discussion thread for Jim's instructions. Between the three of us, there are three interpretations....Rey, I took the photo above last month. I uploaded it last night (June 2). It was accepted for the contest. So, I think any photos you've taken in the last month are safe to enter. Otherwise, the first day of July and August would be awfully short on photos created and uploaded...
We need clarification, or we'll have to wait til September to post "older" photos. That ain't right. For example, because I have major problems walking (due to my hip/problem from last August, I can't take "new" photos except in grocery store floral sections, and I pay dearly, pain-wise, when I do that. So I'll have to do some DDR work, I guess.
But one last thing: Read the P.S. comments on the e-mail, and you might feel better about uploading travel photos that haven't been posted before...Good luck!! #11481719
