Description

This little guy was so busy gathering his collection of pollen that he could care less that I was getting down close to take this. I used an off camera flash with diffuser.

Wow! He's so covered in pollen, it's a miracle he could even move! :) Cucumber beetles are one of my favorite insects to shoot...you've caught this little guy with excellent details surrounded by beautiful summertime colors, Shirley. Well seen and captured! #11479160

Nice capture. Love all the pollen on the beetle. #11479181

Wow, thank you, Patrick, Kathy, Val, and Kay! I appreciate all the wonderful comments, and I also appreciate you letting me know what kind of insect this is, Val! I grew up around cucumbers (used to have to pick them when I was small), but never recall seeing this beetle, so maybe it has nothing to do with cucumbers. #11479190
