Description

For Photogroup 101 Sunrise Sunset Theme
Taken from my front porch in 2009 as a major thunderstorm rolled though. The sky to the northeast was bathed in color as the sunset reflected on the storm clouds. Numerous flashes of cloud-to-cloud lightning punctuated the scene. Though I mainly wanted to capture the color, as I braced myself against the wall, I was lucky enough to catch one shot of the lightning as well.
Nikkor 18-200VR @ 20mm; f9@1/80 sec; ISO 1000, handheld. No postprocessing except minor levels adjustments.

Beautiful, Wally. It must have seemed as if the sky was on fire that night. #1657078
