Very cute! Love the selective colouring! I'd love to know how to do that! #2134843

Laura E. OConnor 11/29/2005 11:46:06 AM

Hi, Alison! If you're using PS or PSE, etc, make your color/contrast/levels adjustment, just create a copy of your edited image in a new layer (Ctrl + J) turn it B&W using whatever method you prefer (I've used channel mixer in PS and more recently "Remove Color" in PSE),and do whatever additional adjustments to the B&W tones to suit your taste. Then use the eraser tool to erase through the B&W layer and reveal the color beneath. You can also do this using the history brush and many other methods, but that's the best method I've found that works for me. GOOD LUCK! #2134898

How absolutely precious!!!! Very well done! #2135615

Alison Greenwood 11/29/2005 3:34:30 PM

Yeah I tried doing all that with a Fushchia. It turned out ok.
Maybe I am expecting too much of myself as usual! I just don't think it's good enough to post on here when I look at everyone else's work. It just doesn't seem to compare. #2135650

Laura E. OConnor 11/29/2005 5:08:55 PM

Thanks so much, Glo, cj, Rhonda and Janine!!

Alison, keep trying! Zoom in really close! go almost to the sub-atomic level...I do it with a 3 pixel brush with my face about 6 inches from the screen. My husband thinks I'm nuts and threatened to buy me glasses for Christmas! I'd love to see them!!! #2135857
