A Gulgong Panorama.

Uploaded: April 10, 2016 | Entered: April 10, 2016 13:25:16

Description

Some 90 Km east of Wellington is the old gold mining town of Gulgong. This panorama shot was taken from the one and only hill in town, and it is looking south east over same magnificent Merino breeding country.
Apart from the gold, its other claim to fame is that images of the early town were featured on Australia’s $10.00 note when we changed over to decimal currency, and the town is still known as the “Town on the Ten Dollar Note”.
