Each "leaf" in this group, in the course of a year, will become a 4-5 inch stem. The central stalk will grow much taller, ultimately being crowned with a "mop" of multi-colored, lamp-shaped flowers. At that point, I call it a "Medusa" plant. Its real name is Cotyldon.
