I love the lighting on the fence, the church and across the grass. This is a beautiful composition Harriet. I go to NM often for photo trips and have been in Santa Rosa and Tucumcari multiple times and didn't know this site was available right between the other two. It's going on my list of stops for next time. #11450647

Thanks, Mike. I am heading down to wildflower country next week. I am looking up the church (St, Olaf) on hw 22. I am not sure where you are from but if you are familiar with this part of the world, do you have any suggestions for photo sites? I will go all the way to the Rio Grande Valley so the distance is not an issue. #11450770

I live in the Ft Worth area. Are you in Texas? I was through Fredricksburg TX about a week ago and the flowers are nice along the highways in that area. Hyw 29 (north of the Fredricksburg area) going east from Mason, through Llano and Burnet had a lot of roadside flowers but it was hard sometimes to find good pull-offs.If you are in that area around Mason, there is a small road (state rd 152) about 7-8 miles south of Mason on US 87 that was very nice with flowers, country scenes, a small interesting town (Castell) and a few other pleasing surprises along the way. It is very quiet along there, not hardly any traffic and lots of places to pull over. Take it all the way east to Llano. I got a majority of my photos along that route. Don't know how things are a week later but there were lots of opportunities when we went through there. #11450797

Wow, thanks. I live in Plainview out in West Texas. I really appreciate the information. I just hope there are some flowers left for next week. Would have gone this week but other things are going on and I can't get away. Thanks so much for the information. #11450809
