Rose Hips

Description

Berries from the invasive shrub, multiflora rose are eaten by birds and other animals. Birds cannot digest the seed inside the berry. The travels through their digestive track and becomes scarified...so the germination process begins. The seed is eliminated and gets "planted". More seeds, more plants that compete aggressively with native vegetation.
