Happy 70th Hills Hoist

Description

This is not my picture, but very much like ones I have taken, as my Hills Hoist gets used a lot by the local birds. I wanted to show you this one as today Hills Hoist is 70 years old. Masters Hardware is selling $2 socks to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer research to mark the occasion. Adelaide, SA is holding a big day in Elder Park to mark the occasion. I wanted to get a good picture to show you all, but it's too wet here for anyone to hang out any washing.

Happy birthday Hillo!! LOL! You mean so much to me, everyday I hang on you, you create so much work for me, and you are now 70! Congratulations old man, for not being succeeded by any other invention (except of course maybe the clothes dryer!) #1642503

Thank you for sharing this, Chris. They are such beautiful birds and I love the thought that they are living free in your country. #11398851

The old hills hoist had many uses other than for drying clothes Chris! What a wonderful sight! #11399111

My brothers and I used to hang my Dad's barber towels on a horizontal clothesline. We never had the interesting one above, Chris. Neat capture with the birds, whoever took this. #11401387
