Too Close For Comfort

Taken in Okavango Delta, Botswana, when this Leopard directly up to our open Land Cruiser, stopped just long enough for me to snap a couple of shots, then went on his way. He was so close I could feel his breath. This is not something you would want to do unless you were travelling with someone who was extremely versed in reading animal behavior, as Leopards are not known for being 'mellow' like Cheetah's.

Love the eyes. Very sharp. Very expressive. #11375277Karen E. Michaels September 16, 2015
Awesome shot in spite of adrenaline rush, Ellen! I have been there on a night safari with three leopards. Nothing can describe the feeling. Well done, indeed. #11375288Linda Estes September 17, 2015
