Black legged poison dart frog

Description

This is the second most poisonous frog and it lives in Columbia along the San Juan river. Its body is yellow and has black or blue legs below the elbow. The males carry the tadpoles on their back to small puddles of water where they feed and protect them until they grow. The males grow to 40 to 50mm and the females slightly larger from 50 to 50 mm. Just a150 micrograms of toxin will kill a human.
