Great shot, Ralph! #348544

This is the first shot where I have seen the full arch and see it's actual size. Usually the shots are through the arch and you don't see the whole "structure. Where is this?. Very intersting red reflection on the underside. #2193478

Ralph -

Initially I would say this is great shot but with the person on the arch I must temper my enthusiasm. Behavior such as this in out Nat. Parks can not be tolerated: 1) there is a definate ban on climbing the arches in Canyonlands to protect the arch and the people, 2) continued behavior such as this is going to cause the NPS to begin fencing and then the good photo ops will be lost to all of us, 3) safety is another issue - it is a 1000-ft drop should this person have fallen. I hope you were not the instigator of this behavior - and this type of behavior for a photograph should not be incouraged. #2197744

How did you get the sky so blue above the arch? You used a polarizing filter correct? I read that they only work when the sun is at 90deg to your subject. In your pic the sun is behind the arch.
I’m a beginner and am struggling with how my sky’s look in my images. I would love to know you secret.

Wounderfull picture! #2200152

Great shot indeed! It's the man on top of this arch with his incredible pose what makes this photo stand out. Credit to him and his guts to climb up there! (Alright, it's me up there, but you must admit, I'm great, huh?! ;-) #2209927
