Quite a large snake, he was coiled up in the leaves in the underbrush at Boodooree National Park, NSW.

First of all did you remove the leaves from him? Do they make a zoom lens that gets this kind of close up from a 100 yard away?
WOW. This is so amazing. I love the way it is coiled up and that most danger head looking like its ready to strike. Its markings and colors are so beautiful. A Nat Geo moment. Got yourself another winner here. Gorgeous look. #11309432

I'm not much of a snake lover but this guy is gorgeous...from a distance and in a photo, that is! :) Love that he takes up every inch of your frame - the details are astonishing and the dark navy color interspersed with the repeating patterns of the cream colored diamond pattern...well, I could almost like him! lol!
