Jelling church was built around year 1100.
Before this church there were three wooden churches, of which the first was built during the reign of Danish viking king Harald Bluetooth (Danish: Harald Blåtand).

Simply beautiful, Kiki. Terrific job on the symmetrical composition. It always astounds me to think that so many buildings in Europe were built nearly two THOUSAND years ago, and still are standing today! The U.S. is such a baby by comparison.Debbie Bray May 26, 2015

Now how is it that we went to this very church together, stood in the same spot at different times and yet I do NOT have this image? You are a master photographer and this came out so beautifully! I'd be proud of this image if I could only find it on my SD card! Maybe if I bite the edge of it, then it will show up? :D I am so happy YOUR SD card has no defects and that your prized image is in tact and into the contest. What a wonderful piece of living history this place was. It was an honor! -SSSLala :))) #11321967Kirsten Kiki Kjaer June 23, 2015
:) :) :) Sister, you capture far better indoor images than I do, and you see so much that I don't see, so I take this compliment to my heart. Thank you!!! #11321968Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
