Description

I don't shoot flowers often but when I saw the pink flower against the contrasting green
foliage,I couldn't resist making a picture.

The subject was captured outside on an overcast morning. I used a tripod mounted
Canon EOS 20D camera and telephoto lens. I set the tripod legs down low for a low POV and backed away to capture a compressed image of the flower.
Technical data;
Aperture Priority (AV) RAW shooting mode.
100 ISO for low grain and a higher quality image.
To minimize the DOF I opened up the aperture to 5.6.
Shutter speed: 1/100 sec.
Note: I have ALWAYS use a tripod while shooting pictures even with a wide open shot. This gives me the confidence that my image will always be sharp

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/100 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 154.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 20D
