Description

On this day in 1865 Abraham Lincoln was laid to rest in his hometown of Springfield, Illinois. In remembrance of this event 150 years ago, the city of Springfield re-enacted his funeral procession. Six years in the planning, the event so well done, left 30,000 plus people standing in tears and silence as the recreated hearse passed.
