Rays of Hope

Description

Upper Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona. Taken this with a flimsy tripod, hence the softness due to camera shake. It pays to have a very sturdy tripod for low light. Added rays of light for DD entry

Your lightweight tripod produced a remarkable effect Reynaldo! I have a rugged sturdy Manfrotto one from my video days. Thewre are some marvelous tones here, and excellent DD work! Well done! #1616208

Beautiful capture Reynaldo!! Take a look the Gitzo or Oben tripods the carbon fiber ones are
excellent also the Ballhead that you may be using needs to be a more heavy duty, Kirk Ent. has excellent ones also RSS as well and the use of the Kirk L Brackets are always great to use. #11294345

Thanks John and Jeff. I've always lusted for the really good tripods but I find that even with the lightweights ones, even the carbon fiber . they're not too kind to my back, a sign of age creeping up on me. I would love the manfrotto, or the Gitzo's with excellent balll heads and quick release, Jeff. Maybe I'll just have to bring a portable dolly along to take away the strain from my aching back. LOL! thank you so much for the visit, it is greatly appreciated. #11294408

Regardless of the tripod and the shakes, you managed to save the shot and got some beautiful results with the extra DD work. Love the earth tone colors and the various layers that represent time in years. Gorgeous look my friend. #11294477

If you hadn't admitted it, Rey, I doubt anyone would have guessed the rays were dropped in via the DDR. This is another beautiful capture, despite your misgivings re: your tripod. I received a very nice tripod from a relative not long ago, but something has loosened the platform (or whatever it's called), and I could match you sore back for sore back trying to tighten the blankety-blank thing, raising and lowering the legs, etc...If I ever win the lottery, I'll be looking for one of those tripods that Jeff and you mentioned. But, to repeat: this shot is beautiful, camera shake and all!! #11298484
