Description

4-5 eod
The Hughes House, built in 1898, is located in Cape Blanco State Park on the southern Oregon Coast. The house is now open to the public and is as close to period as possible. The Hughes family worked a dairy for approximately 20 years while living in this house. Mr. Hughes and several of his sons also worked the Cape Blanco Light House as well.

Sorry I've been away. After losing mom and dealing with the aftermath, I just reached a point that I had to get away for a couple of weeks. The Oregon Coast was lovely!!

This is really a wonderful look back in time, Teresa.
I love the 'tunnel' look and the sepia.
And I think I remember a chair like this in my Great Grandmother's home, and it's like I'm walking through the house and into the room to visit.

Teresa, I meant to comment early Sunday on this fine capture and your very appropriate sepia tint, but I was "tied up" (and needing sleep), getting ready for the Garden Show yesterday...
I hope that your time away helped to heal some of the lingering distress over your mom's passing and all that followed...It's never easy to lose someone you love. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family. #11293321

Wow, I can feel through this image a timeline brought to life in sepia. Welcome back to the better Photo forum and I too hope the distress that you had will make you a stronger person since the time away. This image is A FAV for me... <>< #11785396
