Sea & Sky

Description

A weekend trip to the "Pistol River" area of the south Oregon coast. With the promise of a clear and dark sky I anticipated seeing my old friend the Milky Way once again in my southern view. It did not disappoint and I captured one of the finest meteors I've ever laid eyes on ( Lyrids maybe?) . The light is coming from the town of Brookings (20 miles away). The lights on or near the beach are from (left to right) a street lamp, campfire and a car driving north on HWY 101. 4/19/2015
