Description

On a beautiful early morning at Bunche Beach, an area named for Ralph Bunche, the first African American to win the Nobel Peace Prize. This conservation area "got its start in the racially segregated South in 1949 when members of the Lee County black community purchased a small half-acre stretch of beach that became the only beach for people of color in all of South Florida."
