Attack of the Caracara's

Uploaded: March 03, 2015 | Entered: March 03, 2015 19:12:12

Description

This shot was taken while on Saunders Beach in the Falkland Islands. It is a white sand beach, and the entire island is almost completely uninhabited by people, other than a few people who raise sheep. This beach was overrun by gentoo penguins, and thus these Caracara birds of prey, which when not befriending the local, spend most of their time snatching pengiun eggs from their nests. These are magnificent birds.
