Description

***
The Hsi Lai Temple in La Habra Heights, California, is a traditional Chinese Buddhist mountain monastery. It sits on a hill overlooking the city, and is reached by a circular road which leads to two levels of parking. This is the view as you would walk down to level one. At level two, you can walk into the monastery's main entrance.

this is so funny Mary. When I saw this I knew exactly where this was taken on Hacienda Blvd. I lived 2 blocks from there and saw it being built. Nice capture #1607051

Thank you for your comments, Barbara and Ellen. Always appreciated.
Good morning/night, Kiki. Thank you for commenting on this during what is surely a sad weekend for you and all of Denmark (and the world, as well).
"Senseless violence" is such an odd phrase. Is there any form of violence that ever makes sense? Sigh. But violence where religion is involved really angers me. I could go on and on, but you understand, I'm sure. I hope you and Leif have a peaceful Sunday. #11247720

No need to go to China to see the Buddhist temples. This is a great inspirational shot. Love the colors, tones, details and sharpness. I'll check this out next time I'm in the area. #11248145
