Dilworth Park -- New Look
Uploaded: January 31, 2015 | Entered: January 31, 2015 04:03:56
Formerly called "Dilworth Plaza," it is the large area in front of Philadelphia's City Hall. It was two years in the rebuilding, and I have decided that the previous version was much more attractive. Now there is a nice ice skating rink in winter, but the area is strewn with concessions under white canvas "tents." There is no longer a fountain, nor the beautiful Japanese Cherry Trees that lined and enhanced the front of the building. But gone now are the many benches under shady trees (and the vagrants that slept on them). I'm going to wait until Spring and Summer and see how it looks and feels. For NOW, thumbs down.

Great job conveying the starkness of the scene, as you experience it, Michelle. #11236505Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
