Reach for the Sky

Uploaded: January 19, 2015 | Entered: January 19, 2015 19:22:40

Description

Here on the Texas gulf coast we have mild winters, and often get brilliant blue skies in January. The sky in this photo has not been enhanced at all. The image has been slightly sharpened; otherwise it is straight out of camera.
The photo was taken at Challenger Seven Memorial Park (League City, Texas), which is dedicated to the Challenger Seven space shuttle crew that was lost in a tragic accident in 1986.
The park also includes hiking trials, protected wetlands, and a bird sanctuary.
