The Wondabyne Sculptural Symposium.

Uploaded: January 18, 2015 11:10:32 | Entered: January 18, 2015 11:10:50

Description

These sculptures were originally situated at Wondabyne, a small rail stop on the backwaters of the Hawkesbury River. The sandstone sculptures were carved over a period of three months commencing on New Year’s Eve in 1987 by the sculptor Lawrence Beck. Sixteen years later it was decided to move the sculptures to a more accessible location with more security. In 2003 the bi-centenary sculptures had completed their re- location to their present site at Mt. Penang Gardens. These are some of the sculptures.
