Making Taco Soup the other afternoon, I had half a red onion left over. What does one do with half a red onion?

It rather looks like festive candy in this close up, Bob. I think what you do with a half red onion is buy a Vidalia onion to go with it, chop them both up, and then buy lots of hotdogs. #11222135
