Description

Just having some fun with oil and water. The set-up is easy: (1) colorful object on the floor (scarf, shirt, etc). (2) elevated glass cooking dish around 6 inches above the shirt, (3) water in the dish, and (4) camera on tripod facing directly down at the water, about 12 inches above the water.

I used a 180mm macro lens. I then put some oil in the water and stirred it with my fingers. And then wait for the oil patterns to transverse thru the viewing area of my camera.

Exif: F Number: 3.5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.33, ExposureTime: 1/40 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 3200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 180.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark III
