Fire Survivors

Description

Every year the Red Cross Philadelphia chapter throws a big holiday party for children who have survived a house fire. I photographed the celebration again this year two nights ago. There was dancing, and games, face painting, gifts, and tons of food provided by local businesses--non-stop fun, even for the RC people. I used flash all night.

Exif: F Number: 6.3, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/200 seconds, Flash: fired, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 1250, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 28.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark III

It's a horrible thought that there are enough house fires to create a group like this to give parties for. But what you've taken from it is another terrific street candid. #11205520

Michelle, you've captured the sweet innocence of these beautiful girls and presented them so lovingly! Love the slight hint of color! Love it! #11206205

These kids are so adorable and you captured their charm as well. You have some very unique portriats, Michelle. And I often get 'stuck' in your gallery :) #11206340

Children are so resilient. We can learn from them!! They obviously still have lots of fun and love in their hearts, and even on their shirts! :D Wonderful time spend for you, no doubt?! #11212742
