Yesterday, for the third year, I photographed the Pearl Harbor Day ceremonies aboard the battleship, USS New Jersey, moored in the Delaware River, in view of Philadelphia. A boy scout pack had camped on the ship overnight and were attending the ceremony at 8 am. This was one of the boys. A little too young to appreciate the moment, he clung to his mom during most of the service.

Even though he might not have understood it all, I'll bet the emotions that surrounded him came through, and his very serious demeanor says that as well. #1599924Tiia Vissak December 08, 2014
