Please rescue me

Description

I found this poor Kookaburra in the pool yesterday morning, cold & frightened. Look how it was saving itself by resting it's beak on the ledge. I dried it with a towel & kept moving it in & out of the very hot sun & eventually it started standing & moving it's wings. It took about 3 hours & it recovered enough to fly off. Lens aperture f/4.5, shutter speed 1/640, focal length 20mm, ISO 100.

Exif: F Number: 4.5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/640 seconds, Flash: did not fire, auto mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 20.02 mm, Model: DSC-HX30V

It's great to end Christmas reading such a heartwarming story, Chris. Lucky for the little one you were the one who found him. I hope Santa was really good to you, after such a kind act on your part. Hope Tony and you had a terrific Christmas! #11212736

I bet he was, too, and maybe he is sitting in your tree outside calling your place, "home". :)))) #11213808

Hopefully, he is well & happy & so far he hasn't been swimming in the pool. Hope you are enjoying the start of the New Year. #11217942
