Description

One of the funkiest little fellas, I get a couple this time each year. Usually turn up in the late evenings. Thought he would make a great photo, hope you like it! All comments welcome. :)

That is one of the strangest "poses" I've ever seen in a dragonfly photo, Hayden. But I have a feeling the judges will not overlook this unique capture...Best of luck with it next month. #1597890

Hello Mary, thank you for your feedback and kind words, I really appreciate them. I will add that this is in fact an insect called an Owlfly, they're similar to Lacewings. Their larvae are Antlions if you know about them at all of course :). Thank you again #11191708

Thank you Jo Ann and Kathy for your kind words, I really appreciate them. Yes the title was to do with his pose but also when I was at school, used to get told head down, bum up :). Well you have now Kathy :) they're about 10cm or 100mm in length to give you an idea of size. Thanks again #11192043
