Ollie's Pond

According to the Peace River Audubon Society, this pond is named for Oliver H. Hewitt, a retired professor of wildlife management at Cornell University and an accomplished ornithologist. He regarded this pond as one of his favorite birding sites. I recently discovered it myself and will certainly go back. It's not far away and makes for a lovely morning's walk. I expect there will be many more birds now that we're heading into winter up north.
