Description

Just returned from this year's Photo Plus Expo at the Javits Center in NYC, where the most memorable experience this year was meeting photographer Bob Carey and his wonderful wife, Linda--a breast cancer survivor--at the Black Rapid Booth. -----

Bob and Linda founded the "Pink Tutu" project (http://thetutuproject.com/). Bob travels the world photographing himself wearing nothing but a pink tutu. Proceeds from the sale of the resulting books, calendars, etc. are used to help pay the huge expenses, not covered by insurance, of breast cancer patients. It is a wonderful cause if you are looking for an organization to support. In addition, Black Rapid is donating $10 from each special "Kick Pink" camera strap sold to the Pink Tutu Foundation.-----

I'm so glad that I met this wonderful couple AND their partner, the owner of Black Rapid, Ron Henry.

A worthy cause, indeed. And I love the portrait. Wonderful, quirky character study.
