Sorry for the late response, but I do appreciate everyone's kind words. Thank you so much! There's a reason the photo is entitled "Friendly Neighbors." My neighbor appeared at my door a couple of months ago with a handful of flower cuttings from her garden. Her mother had given her a potted plant which she had replanted outside her front door in our apartment building's communal gardening space. She had seen me out photographing before and thought I would like some of them. It really brightened my day! I promptly plunked the flowers into various vases and proceeded to photograph them in the morning light. In return, I made my neighbor some picture post cards out of a few of the shots. She was just floored and was sure that I had gone to a lot of trouble, but I assured her that she had given me so much more than just pretty flowers for my dining table. The beauty of the flowers along with the good feelings I got from her kindness provided much-needed inspiration! #11219706
