Oh, to be home again in my native land.
I love and miss California.
Maybe this gives you an idea why?

Taken last month.
Used SPE filters for effects.

Hi Steve! Thank you. To the left of the flowers is a thing called "Ice Plant". I love seeing those as we had them in our yard growing up. They flower also in a variety of colors. #11168198

Wow, Pomma-llama! I saw your comment to Steve, and thought, yeah, snow ~ that's what I mentioned in my note to you on the thread for my Halloween image. Then I saw the date: Oct. 26th !! Didn't realize you've been dealing with the white stuff so long already!
Now, about this lovely seaside image...what a view you had that day --- I'm guessing it was on the way Up to the D-land/Buddhist Temple area from San Diego. If I'm right, do I get a really nice prize, like maybe another visit from you before Feb,? I WISH! We need to track down the smiling monk with the cellphone!
Again, about your beautiful image... Perfect composition, and AB-FAB job in the darkroom, my friend! Maybe I should go dabble in the DarkVarooom-rooom myself tonight. (Sorry - my next-door neighbor has a new motorcycle, and I could hear it as I wrote the last sentence.)

On Mare! They called it SNOWY SEPTEMBER as we were getting snow snow even THEN this year! It is very common to have our first snow around Halloween then!! Just shortly before or after and Halloween night is usually just COLD. This year was freaky. It wasn't very cold Halloween night. It was about 62*f in the day time that day and about 45 or 50 degrees Halloween night. NICE for here that time of year. But then true to it's nature it snowed Nov 1st, the day after. We have more coming in two days. Had some a few days bad. Yep. Winter is here. Did you hear about Ontario this past 24 hours? 6 feet of snow and two more on the way this evening and tomorrow! I can see why you would miss this one! Last month we visited my Dad's Oyster shed in Botany Bay & we all wanted to stay. I think the new owner is going to put on more locks to keep us out!!! Keep warm, we'll think of you in between sweltering!! =^..^= #11194249
