Castle Lake, with Mount Shasta in the background. Took a one mile hike to this locale, using my headlamp at the start of the walk.

What's so nice about this scene is that there is interest and beauty throughout the frame, from the rocky foreground reflecting the dawn light through the near mountains, valley and lake in the center to the distant mountains with the early morning light in the sky behind them.
