Description

Mary Robison and I *Really* Enjoyed Our Time
At The Buddhist Monk Temples In
Southern California.
As I walked by this one wall, I saw in the corner of my eye the temples! :) I wish I knew what the writings say here but I did manage to figure out my name in "Google Translate" to add the final touches!

An unusual composition! You must've had a whirlwind BP friends tour. Seems like fun! You deserve it. Love that you found the Chinese/English translation. #11159328

Sorry I'm late in finding this posting, Pom! Instant memories, thanks to your wonderful reflection photo!
By the way ~ check out all of your photos of the courtyard, including this one. Notice what's missing? People!!! It never hit me about so few people being there that afternoon until I saw a "review" on the Temple. A young woman and her boyfriend thought they'd stop by for a quiet visit on a hot day (103 degrees), figuring most people would put it off for a better day, weather-wise....which they soon learned was not the case. There were tons of tourists roaming around, no doubt preventing the couple from taking any worthwhile photos, and changing the atmosphere of that beautiful place. We were SO lucky! And blessed! #11161484

Hi Doug, Michelle and Mare! :D Thank you all so much. Michelle, it really was a dream come true for me to meet so many BPers! And I can't wait to meet more in the days to come. #11161607

Mare, I know it. I know how blessed we were for that day. I felt it all day long. When we got to the temple there was a peace from the time we got out of the car to the time we got back in. (No reflection my my driving skills of course! HeeHee!) The temple was filled with ancient history and glued together with lasting traditions that have endured the ages. And even though it was a large contrast to my own beliefs, it was an honor to be there and be able to capture these moments in time that have make their religion what it is today. Important to them. I am so glad we were there on such a quiet day. It was like it was meant to be. Just for you and I to take in and remember always. It was a special event that I will never forget. Thank you again for this wonderful day. Big hugs to you for helping to make my long long road trip one that was filled with special memories.

Hi Bro, John. Everything there was so clean and perfect. AND QUIET. Only the sounds of Mary and wandering along filled the marbled halls. Good to see you! :) Thank you! #11161830
