Description

An old shot of Mono lake, USA I came across the other day following picture requests for this area. The calcified vegetation and bizarre tufa towers formed by the acute alkalinity of this rapidly drying lake is quite unearthly. Contax ST 28-85 zoom lens F22 at 4 seconds with attached 0.6ND hard grad and Velvia film. If you get a chance please visit my website at www.transientlight.co.uk

Ian, next time I am up that way I am determined to see this at sunrise :-) You have caught it's magic perfectly. I have been there in the afternoon when the light is just too harsh, this is the way to go :-) Now I will go see your site, are you still at Patricks site? #2085454
