Description

Nikon D810, 1/200 sec @ f/13, ISO 250, Nikkor 80-400 mm f/4.5-5.6, VR @ 400mm.
Taken at the Indianapolis Zoo's Simon Skjodt International Orangutan Center, an incredible new exhibit designed to stimulate the ape's physical, social, and intellectual abilities. This is Nicky, who at 127 lbs, is not exactly "tiny" but she is one of the newest members of the 8 orangutans who call this facility home. Here she is traveling 80 feet off the ground along cords of braided steel. A visually stunning exhibit and well worth a visit (Kathy S take note)!
