Flirty Fantail

Uploaded: September 21, 2014 | Entered: September 26, 2014 01:39:50

Description

These little birds are so hard to capture (especially with their tail displayed) as they never stay still, chasing after bugs and flitting around all over the place. I have washed colour out slightly and applied vignette and frame to give a postcard look.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/200 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 300.00 mm, Model: SLT-A65V

In all my time photographing birds I have never been able to get a shot of a fantail so I know how hard it is, they just flit everywhere and never stop. You did really well to get this Sharon. #11145877

Ann took the words right out of my mouth, fantails are such friendly birds, they seem to love company, when I picked apples in the orchard they would follow me along the rows of trees staying close and chatting away but I have never come close to achieving a decent image. Congratulations Sheryl I love what you have done with this image. #11153271
